Our Story

Bags of Soul was born from a simple idea, a heartfelt mission, and a profound moment of connection.

For years, I navigated the fast paced world of the creative industry - a journey full of inspiration, but often weighed down by the noise of deadlines. Searching for a quieter, more intentional way to find my centre, I found Reiki.

This was a turning point for me and brought a much needed sense of calm and balance to my life. Bags of Soul was born from this transformation: to create something that offered a gentle reminder to slow down and look after yourself, no matter how busy life gets.

With this new perspective, I began quietly sourcing unique items, spending months searching for gifts that held a genuine spirit - treasures that felt intentional rather than commonplace. At the time, it was a small project; friends and family would occasionally ask if I could put together a bag for a loved one in need. I would look through my collection of samples, carefully selecting pieces I felt would offer comfort or joy. Back then, the bags weren't branded or as refined as they are today - but the heart was always there!

The Turning Point
The moment I truly understood the power of these gifts was when I sent a Bag of Healing to a very ill friend. Her reaction took my breath away; she was so surprised and touched that she sent me a video of the opening. Seeing the pure delight and comfort that the gift brought her was the revelation. I knew then that this feeling needed to be shared with more people.

However, life had its own timing. Shortly after, I faced my own health battle and major surgery. It was a significant shock and was followed by a few months of my own healing. Now, having made a full recovery, I feel a renewed sense of urgency and purpose. Instead of taking it easy, I am compelled to get these bags into the hands of those who need them most.

More Than a Gift
We wanted to create a soulful alternative to traditional flowers that fade or off-the-shelf pamper sets. Each Bag of Soul is a curated sanctuary. A collection of nature inspired treasures housed in a reusable, cotton tote bag.

Every item is chosen with the same intention you would use if you were hand-picking it yourself. When you send a Bag of Soul, you aren’t just sending a gift; you're sending a permission slip for someone to slow down, breathe, and feel truly cared for.
